Association Information
Association Activity : The All India Induction Furnaces Association (AIIFA) represents the interest of Electric Induction Melting Furnace industry operating various parts of the country. Its members are engaged in the production of Mild Steels, Low Alloy Steels, Stainless Steels, Grinding Media and Special Cast Iron castings through Electric Induction Melting Furnaces. The Association is functioning for the last 18 years with its Head Office located at the above address. The Association has seven regional branches located at Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Indore, Cuttack, Bhiwadi, Mandi Gobindgarh. The functions of the Association are to provide information to its members in respect of Research and Development, New trends in the Steel industry, Power matters, Central Excise & Customs matters, etc. The Association interacts with the officials of various Ministries of Government of India as well as State Governments. It also take-part in the Bureau of Indian Standards meetings for formulating standards on steel and other items.

The Association holds its AGM every year. On the occasion of AGMs, interactive meeting with other industries takes?place. We hold seminars on various topics, which are of the interest of the Steel industry. It is also engaged in collaboration with Research & Development institutes for developing various technologies.

AIIFA takes out fortnightly Induction Furnace Newsletter which is mailed free of cost to all members. It contains news (a) about the industry, (b) Notification Circulars of Central Excise & Customs, (c) price of Steel products, (d) Steel Policy changes, (e) Power Tariffs of States, (f) news about members and (g) other information pertaining to industry, etc.

The Office bears of the Association visits various centres where Induction Melting Furnace units are located to help them in regard to various problems they faced for Power and tax matter's.

All India Induction Furnaces Association which has been in existence since 1987 has the following Aims and Objects —

To aid, advise and to look after the interests of entrepreneurs owning induction system of melting of ferrous as well as non-ferrous industry in the wider perspective of National progress and prosperity.

To help in the conservation of the existing units and promote the expansion of business of induction melting system of metals and alloys in India.

To set up a suitable agency under its aegis for the purpose of acquisition of the knowledge of latest techniques of metals and alloys melting by induction system from other countries and prepare feasibility reports for adoption of such techniques by the members of the Association.

To set up Research & Development facilities on a regular and permanent basis with a view to bring about all round improvement in the fields of melting metals and alloys;

To draw a code of conduct for the members of the Association spelling out their rights, privileges and obligations;
