Association Information
Association Activity : MOE introduced the EPR system in January 2003. MOE reinforced the producer`s responsibility to make them select reusable and recyclable materials and improve their design process and manufacturing structure

The EPR sysrem seeks for encourage producers to conduct environment friendly activities throughout the entire product life cycle, from design, manufacture to distribution, consumption, and disposal of products

Sets the target recyclability rate(total annual mandatory recycling amount by items) every year

- Each producer bound by the EPR system, and each PRO must summit their recycling plans for approval from MOE. Producers must determine whether they form a Producers Responsible Organization(PRO) to fulfill their obligations or individually practice recycling by commissioning the work to recyclers. Producers and the PRO perform their recycling obligations and summit reports on the result to MOE

- MOE confirms and reviewed their reports of recycling performance so as to ascertain whether or not their obligations have been appropriately
fulfilled, and where inappropriate, impose and collects corresponding charges on relevant producers
